Thousands and Thousands of Minutes Read - Erickson Read-a-thon Update

This month, Erickson Elementary School enthusiastically participated in the Read-A-Thon that culminated February 29th. Here's an update on the activities:

Throughout the month, students engaged in a variety of events, including but not limited to Reading in the Dark Day, Bring a Book Day, a school-wide read-along of "The One and Only Ivan," Mystery Reader Day, the Book-to-Film activity, and culminated in a wrap-up assembly celebrating and recognizing the community's dedication to reading.

With a student body of 184, participants collectively read for 141,605 minutes, averaging approximately 15,000 minutes for primary classes and 20,000 minutes for intermediate classes. The entire community demonstrated a steadfast commitment to fostering a love of reading throughout the month, with our Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) generously gathering prizes from local businesses for all our classes.

We love reading at Erickson Elementary.
