Thankful for Leadership, Thankful for the Earth

During our assemblies that occur twice per month, various classes take the opportunity to lead.

In April, Ms. Youngs K/1 class had this opportunity. They led the school in O Canada by singing it while they signed it, using American Sign Language, which their teacher had taught them.  

They also did the Aboriginal Territorial Acknowledgement, read the school announcements and presented their version of a book, inspired by "The Earth Book" by Todd Parr. The presentation and the book related to being thankful for the various aspects of the Earth and the importance of taking care of it.  

All the presenters did a great job and helped remind us to be thankful.
